Hotmail / MSN Email Issue Update: 1/5/10 noon cst:

Hotmail /MSN (Microsoft) is no longer blocking emails from Everyone.net. The issue has been resolved, and all emails to Hotmail and MSN should flow normally from now on.

Thi issue arose from the fact that Microsft had identified approximately 2 percent of recently received emails from clients of Everyone.net as “spam.” As a knee-jerk reaction, Hotmail and MSN wholesale blocked all incoming email from any Everyone.net user. The *many* were punished because of the *few.*

Everyone.net is working closely with Microsoft to prevent this from happening in the future. We have been informed that both companies take this issue seriously and they are putting systems in place to “track down” spammers who may be using Everyone.net and punish them individually. And Microsoft has agreed to notify Everyone.net in the future *before* blocking email. The *few* should not be allowed to ruin it for the rest of us.

We have used Everyone.net as our outsourced email provider for five years, and this again is an example of why we sing their praises. We remain committed to them and their excellent support and infrastructure.

Thank you for your patience as we resolved this issue.

Hotmail / MSN Email Issue Update: 1/5/10:
Hotmail /MSN (Microsoft) began blocking emails from Everyone.net on 1/4. According to Everyone.net, Microsoft claims that 2 percent of emails from clients of Everyone.net (yes, just 2 percent) are “spam.” That has somehow justified Microsoft’s decision to block *all* email coming from any client of Everyone.net.

Everyone.net is still working with Microsoft to see about reversing this unreasonable action. We will keep you posted as to developments.

We have used Everyone.net as our outsourced email provider for five years, and we remain committed to them and their excellent support and infrastructure. Most of our clients will attest to the excellence of their email.

In the meantime, we apologize for this blockage by Microsoft. If you would like assistance on obtaining a *backup* email address, for instance from Google, let us know. Many of our clients have a secondary email addresses for business… it makes good sense to have one. We can walk you through obtaining an additional (or backup) email address such as youragency@gmail.com.
